I added some fresh garlic and ginger to the glaze. It was very good! Be sure to lightly salt and pepper your salmon before cooking it. I think I might prefer it on an orange roughie or mahi mahi next time. I guess I just prefer my salmon smoked. - 2/9/09

That seems like an awful lot of sodium for one meal out of the whole day - 1/9/09

    Reply from AYLABOO (3/3/09)
Thanks for pointing that out. I changed my recipe to use low sodium soy sauce which lowered the sodium content considerably.

Sounds GREAT! Just wondering the total weight of the salmon filets that you use... I couldn't tell from the ingredients details. Thanks! - 1/9/09

    Reply from AYLABOO (3/3/09)
The filets I use are between 4-6 oz each. :)

This was quite yummy - I do not like fish-taste, and this recipe was good. We baked the salmon, then poured the cooked glaze over the salmon, but actually transferred the coated salmon back onto the pan to bake just a couple of minutes longer. - 9/11/08

I made this as described above-made one change-cooked on top of the stove in a nonstick fry pan, added about 1 ts. olive oil to the pan and poured the marinade in the pan towards end of cooking. Served with brown rice, asparagus--delicous!!! - 3/19/10

Very delicious!! I have been looking for a new way to make salmon and this one is super easy. I used reduced sodium soy sauce and added some minced garlic to my sauce. I undercooked my fish a bit so I could put it back in the pan with the sauce, next time Ill try it with some ginger. - 9/3/08

This recipe is a miracle! For the first time in the 10 years that we've been together my husband ate fish without tarter sauce! We bought fresh salmon down at the pier today, and I was afraid that this sweet of a sauce would overpower it and ruin it, but it was wonderful! Restaurant quality! - 8/14/10

This is a very good glaze! I just added a little garlic powder, black pepper, paprika (i like mine slightly spicey), dried onion chips and parsley. Next time i think i will let the fish simmer just a few minutes longer on very low heat to let it marinade more. This is great.. thanks!

Just because it's me, I think I'd use Bragg's liquid amino acids instead...but if you use it, do be careful the cooking time as it cuts down the cooking time due to the automatic tenderization. I'd leave the mustard on the side just for my family. It looks good enough to eat! Thanks! - 12/16/08

The flavor is outstanding. I would cut the sauce in half as I ended up wasting much of it. I baked the fish at 350 for 17 minutes and basted with the sauce two or three times. Ended up with a sort of carmelized teriaki type finish. - 1/7/14

I made this recipe without the water, oil or lime juice, less honey, and used a honey dijon mustard. Then I basted it on frozen fillets and wrapped them in tin foil and put them on the bbq.
