Introduction

A lighter version of a winter classic. This is my mom's recipe, doctored up a bit. A lighter version of a winter classic. This is my mom's recipe, doctored up a bit.
Number of Servings: 10

Ingredients

    2 cups chopped Onions
    2 cups chopped Green Bell Peppers
    1 tsp Crushed Garlic
    1 tsp Olive Oil, Extra Virgin
    1.4 lbs publix ground turkey (you can use more or less, I used 1.4 from a package)
    2- 14.5 oz cans stewed tomatoes mexican recipe
    1- 15 oz can Dark Red Kidney Beans
    1- 15 oz can Light Red Kidney Beans
    2.5 tbsp Chili powder
    1/4 tsp Cumin seed

Directions

1. heat oil, add onions, garlic, and turkey. Add 1 tbps of Chili powder, stir and brown turkey.
2. Add tomatoes, bell peppers, beans, spices (remaining chili powder)
3. Let simmer 60 minutes.

makes 10 - 1 cup servings
