Introduction

Yummy and easy and full of protein. A great breakfast or after-workout snack. Yummy and easy and full of protein. A great breakfast or after-workout snack.
Number of Servings: 1

Ingredients

*1 medium banana (cut into inch thick slices and frozen the night before)
    *1 cup 2% milk
*3/4 scoop of protein powder (I used Designer Whey Natural)
*1 1/2 Tbsp. natural peanut butter

Directions

Place all ingredients in Magic Bullet or blender or smoothie maker in this order: milk at the bottom, then bananas, protein powder, peanut butter. Blend until smooth. Makes one smoothie / protein shake.

Possible adjustments - If you use a full scoop of protein powder you can add 25 calories or so - check your powder for proper nutrition info. If the shake is too thick add an extra splash of milk. If you want to start with 1 Tbsp of peanut butter you may not need to add the other half Tbsp - if you only use 1 Tbsp you can take off 50 calories. If you did not freeze bananas ahead of time you can make this just by adding about 1/2 cup of ice into the bottom with the milk. Enjoy!

This sounds really good. I am making this for breakfast. I also want to try the powered peanut butter. Great idea! - 12/19/13

    Incredible!
Very good, I usually add a couple shakes of cinnamon! Sometimes I also add some fresh spinach, if I need another veggie for the day. It doesn't change the taste but does turn it green! - 3/6/12

This is an awesome breakfast drink! After making it daily for a few weeks I switched to powdered peanut butter. You get all the flavor, but cut the calories and fat! - 1/26/12
