Detoxing is not bad, our bodies sometimes need the extra umph to get rid of the toxins. This is definitely not an everyday thing. I use as a 1-2 day detox and a plateau buster. I'm beginning to love the cayenne pepper! - 7/13/08

1VALKYRIE: toanswer your question-- .1 teaspoon of cayenne or one tenth of one teaspoon is what the recipe says but the calories by ingredient list shows one tenth of a tablespoon which would be about one third of a teaspoon. - 6/23/11

Isn't there a reason to using pure maple syrup and not honey or other sweeteners??? And isn't it supposed to be 1 tsp of cayenne pepper??? - 10/13/12

Reply to 1VALKYRIE's question: It doesn't say 1 tsp cayenne, it says 0.1 tsp which would be 1/10 of a tsp. - 4/28/11

I drink about 2.5 cups ( 1 really large glass ) every few days & believe it does help with weightloss. The spicy-sweet taste is quite nice, especially when I don't overstir & there's a bit of maple syrup on the bottom ;) It makes me feel refreshed & that much healthier - 7/6/10

Not crazy about the syrup taste but with extra lemon it is okay. Does this really help to detox? - 3/12/08
