She melts dark chocolate, pours it over the bars and spreads it with a spatula. She also adds maple syrup. We love these! A great peanut free snack for school and my DH takes them to work.

this seems very interesting and i would like to try it! is there anything i can substitute the coconut oil with? maybe a different kind of oil? - 1/9/10

You might could, but the fact that coconut oil is solid at cooler temperatures is really what holds this together. If you try another oil I would use a mild flavored oil unless you use another type of nut-oil. Let me know how it goes if you try it!
