Oh WOW!!! My family all loved this one. We cheated and frosted it with a Tablespoon of light cool whip on each slice. Second time I tried different flavor and did it as cupcakes, which made serving sizes easy. (Dozen cupcakes, 1 serving each.) This was AWESOME!!! Very moist. - 8/4/10

I made this for the kids with a white cake mix and diet orange soda and I put sugar free cool whip on the top of mine, they all said it was delicious but, I thought it was crumbly, did I do something wrong? I added about 12 oz of diet orange crush soda. It was still super moist and delicious. - 11/3/10

This is utterly delicious. Does not hold together too well, but still yummy. I used diet 7 UP and Red Velvet Cake Mix. Drizzled chocolate sauce over top (not too much) and topped with cool whip. About 150 calories per 1 1/2" x 4" piece. Will make again. - 6/20/09

The carbonated drink makes this very moist and delicious. Just put fruit and cool whip on top and enjoy! I have made this several times and am thinking about trying to make a cake from scratch using only dry ingredients and the diet soda. - 8/23/07
