I did not know what sambal oelek was so I googles it. Only three ingredients. Red chiles salt and brown sugar... Just an FYI - 1/30/11

I made it without the sambal and onion but added 1 tsp of onion powder, extra garlic and ginger, and a dash of tabasco. I also didn't have any cooked chicken so I used raw and marinated it. My husband almost licked the plate! - 12/15/11

This is pretty good. Would have been helpful and good for nutritional information if there were specific measurements for marinade ingrediants. I ended up marinating my chicken raw instead of using pre-cooked. Came out fine. - 10/26/10

Sambal oelek has sugar in it, so it should not be used. - 7/3/13

We love this recipe, though it is VERY hot! Even when we reduced the chili sauce. Tastes great though. - 11/17/10
