Introduction

These can be customized to any seasonings you like. They satisfy the crunchy salty cravings! These can be customized to any seasonings you like. They satisfy the crunchy salty cravings!

Ingredients

    Ingredients:
    Chickpeas (garbanzo beans), 3 cup
    *Worchestshire, 3 tsp
    Garlic powder, 1 tsp
    Chili powder, .5 tsp

Directions

Soak chickpeas overnight. Drain and rinse. Put in gallon size ziplock. Add in spices. Shake it up. Line cookie sheet with foil and spray with pam. Dump out the chickpeas and give a little shake to get them in a single layer. Roast for 20 minutes at 450. Turn oven off and leave in oven for about an hour.

    Do you use can or fresh chickpea. I tried can and they tasted great but really got toasted on the side - 8/10/11

    I typically use fresh chickpeas to keep the sodium content down but canned ones work well also. If they got too toasty, then I would try shaking them around a couple times during the 20 minute cooking. Hope that helps!

    Not a complete replacement for chips but with a little playing with the seasoning I think we will eat these often. Also just an FYI, you can do this with ANY bean! I plan to try Kidney and Lima beans next! - 1/2/12
