Ingredients

1/2 Cup Unsweetened Applesauce
4 oz Unsweetened Baking Chocolate- Melted and Cooled
2 Cups Granulated Sugar
2 Tsp Vanilla
1 Cup Fat Free Cholesterol Free Egg Product
2 Cups Gold Medal All Purpose Flour
2 Tsp Baking Powder
1/2 Tsp Salt
1/2 Cup Powdered Sugar
Directions
Preparation time and baking time may vary as it is dependent per batch.
Step 1: Melt and cool unsweetened baking chocolate.
Step 2: Mix applesauce, cooled baking chocolate, granulated sugar and vanilla in a large mixing bowl. Mix in egg product (1/4 cup at a time). Stir in flour, baking powder and salt.
Step 3: Cover and refrigerate at least 3 hours.
Step 4: Heat oven to 350 degrees F. Grease cookie sheet well.
Step 5: Drop teaspoonfuls of dough onto greased cookie sheet leaving 2 inches between each cookie.
Step 6: Bake for between 10 to 12 minutes or until almost no imprints can remain when lightly touched in the center. Remove from cookie sheet and place on a wire rack to cool.
Step 7: Sprinkle powdered sugar over cookies (or you can use decorator sugar for a festive holiday look).
