Ingredients

    !2 egg yolks
    1 cup sugar
    1 cup heavy whipping cream
    2 1/2 cups lowfat milk
    1 teasp. freshly ground cardamom

Directions

Beat egg yolks and sugar until sugar desolves and mixture is lighter. Warm cream , milk, and cardamom in saucepan over medium heat until small bubles form around edge of pan but do not boil.. let cool some. Gradually add this to egg mixture while beating at low speed. Pour through a fine strainer and into a greased one quart size shallow baking dish or into eight individual sized shallow baking dishes. Carefully set in a larger pan with hot water half way up the side of baking dishes. Bake at 300 degrees for about 30 to 40 minutes until slightly set. Turn off oven and let cool in the oven. Chill in refrigerater then serve.
