Ingredients

    2.5 lb extra lean ground beef
    2 medium onions, chopped
    5 cloves garlic, minced
    1/2 green pepper, chopped
    1 lb sliced mushrooms
    1 tsp pepper
    1 tsp salt
    1 tbs basil
    1 tbs cilantro
    2 tbs dried italian seasonings
    3 cans Hunt's Spaghetti Sauce
    2 cans diced tomatoes
    1 can tomato paste
    1 oz grated parmesan cheese

Directions

Brown ground beef in a large frying pan.
Drain off excess fat.
Add onions, green peppers, mushrooms, and garlic to the pan and saute until tender.
Transfer to a stock pot.
Add seasonings, tomatoes, tomato paste, and spaghetti sauce.
Simmer at least 2 hours stirring often to prevent scorching.
Add the grated parmesan to the sauce for the last 10 minutes of cooking time.
Serve over pasta of your choice.

Makes approximately 24 1/2 cup servings.
