Introduction

This is a very simple and fast basic beer bread recipe. It pairs well with soup or stew and is fantastic hot out of the oven. This is a very simple and fast basic beer bread recipe. It pairs well with soup or stew and is fantastic hot out of the oven.
Number of Servings: 8

Ingredients

    3 cups self-rising flour
    (or 3 c flour, 3 tsp baking powder, and 1.5 tsp salt)

    1 12-oz can or bottle of beer, any variety

    1/3 cup sugar

Directions

Mix ingredients. Batter will be sticky. Pour into prepared loaf pan and bake at 350 degrees for 50-60 minutes.

Recommend brushing the top with butter 10 minutes before bread is done.

Serve hot. Makes 8 servings.
