Number of Servings: 6

Ingredients

4 cups sliced apples (I don't peel them, but you can if you like)
    1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
    1/4 teaspoon nutmeg
2 tablespoons reduced calorie pancake syrup
    1 tablespoon lemon juice
    1 tablespoon butter

Directions

Arrange the apples in a 8-inch square pan. Sprinkle on the cinnamon, nutmeg, syrup and lemon juice. Toss the apples to coat them evenly with the spices and syrup. Dot the top of the apples with butter. Bake at 350 for about 30 minutes. (If you prefer the apples to steam, then cover the pan with tin foil before baking).

Everyone in my family loved this recipe, I served it with the 'Crisp Traditional Waffles' recipe, and didn't use syrup on the waffles. It was very good! Will definitely make it again. Thanks for sharing! :o) - 9/29/10
