Ingredients

    1/2 cup brown rice syrup (or honey)
    1/4 cup natural nut butter
    5 scoops chocolate protein powder (1 3/4 cups)
    4 tsps maca powder (optional)
    1 1/4 cups crisp brown rice cereal (like brown rice krispies)
    1 oz dark chocolate

Directions

Place brown rice syrup and peanut butter into mixer bowl (a heavy duty stand). Blend for 1 minute on medium speed.
Mix together protein powder, maca and crisp rice cereal. Add to peanut butter mixture and mix on low speed until well blended. Add a FEW drops of water if necessary to make it stick together.
Press mixture firmly and evenly into a lightly greased 9 x 9 inch pan. Let sit for 1 hr.
Melt dark chocolate and drizzle over top. Cut into 9 bars.

    Ok, where can we find maca powder - 2/20/12

    You can find macs powder at most health food stores. But, it is quite optional for this recipe.

    Macau is a Peruvian superfood. It is a great antioxidant as well as it aides in balancing out hormones. Good for those who are approaching menopause or pre menopause.
