Introduction

I really dislike eggs, cereal, milk...most breakfast-y foods. My mom used to make this when I was a child, and I just now realized the health benefits of this meal! Enjoy! Ingredients

    *1/2 large, whole-wheat pita
*2 TB (1/8 package) light cream cheese (or Neufchatel)
*7 walnut halves (about half an ounce)
*1/4 cup blueberries (fresh or frozen; I prefer frozen)

Directions

Spread the cream cheese inside the pita. Insert walnuts and blueberries. Microwave 30 seconds (this will be perfect if using frozen berries; if using fresh, either cut down heating time, or wait for berries to cool before eating).

Makes 1 serving.

Variations: You could probably vary the fruits and nuts to anything you prefer, I plan to try crushed pineapple or strawberries depending on what's on sale next week. My sister thinks blackberries and almonds sound good, so there is really a lot you can do with this basic recipe. A great choice for picky breakfast eaters like myself (which is why I tagged it for kids, even though I'm 27)!
