    1 lb ground turkey
    2 cups onion, chopped
    2 cups peppers, chopped
    2 cans diced tomatoes with garlic and basil, drained
    1 can red kidney beans, drained not rinsed
    1 large can of tomato sauce
    1 tablespoon of Emirle Original Essence
    salt and pepper to taste


1. Cook turkey in a frying pan unitl it breaks up easily. (It doesn't have to be thoroughly cooked because the meat will finish cooking in the slow cooker.)
2. Drain turkey and toss in a slow cooker with the rest of the ingredients.
3. Cook on low for 4-6 hours or high for 3 hours.
4. Serve over baked potatoes, or with baked tortilla chips or alone in a bowl.

    THIS WAS SOOOO GOOD! I added LOTS of spinach. EVEN KIDS (!) LOVED IT! I don't even LIKE beans!!! SO UNBELIEVABLY AWESOME! Making it again tomorrow, but using shredded chicken instead! *stomach growling* ! - 10/4/12

    I did this but with lean ground beef instead of turkey
