Ingredients

    2 cloves garlic, chopped
    1/4 c. red onions, chopped
    1 c. baby spinach, chopped
    1/2 c. artichoke hearts, chopped
    1/4 t. salt
    Black pepper
1 c. shredded Italian cheese mix
    2 T. whipped cream cheese
    1 egg
    36 wonton wrappers (3.5'' size)

Directions

Combine garlic, onion, spinach, artichoke hearts, salt and pepper in a food processor. Pulse for approximately 10 seconds until all ingredients are combined. Pour mixture into a large mixing bowl. Add cheese and mix until all ingredients are incorporated. Lightly beat egg to make an egg wash. Brush wonton wrappers with egg and drop 1 rounded teaspoon of cheese mixture into each. Pull the corners of the wonton wrappers up into a twist, so they look like little purses ("sacchette" means "beggar's purse"). Lightly brush tops of the purses with remaining egg wash. Place on a greased cookie sheet and broil until tops are golden brown and wrappers are crunchy (approximately 2-3 minutes). Let cool, and serve warm. Can be served with ranch dressing (not included in calorie count) or eaten plain.
