Ingredients
-
500g flour (I put 3 cups of white and 1 cup of wholewheat)
4T Olive Oil
1t salt
300ml lukewarm water
2t yeast
1/2 t sugar
Directions
This recipe makes three 11 inch pizza bases. The serving size is for a quarter of one pizza base without toppings.
Put the flour in a bowl.
Mix the yeast and sugar and add to 50 ml of the water in a cup. Sit until it has a nice foam on the top.
Add olive oil and salt to the flour.
After the yeast has sat for about 10 minutes (it should have above foam on the top by now), add it and the remaining 250 ml of lukewarm water to the flour.
Mix with your hands until mixture is a smooth dough.
Cover dough in bowl with a dry dishcloth and let it sit for an hour in a warm place.
Once it has risen, turn oven on pretty hot (220C) and separate the dough into three even pieces. (I freeze what I don't use :))
Spread dough onto pizza dish or oven tray into the desired shape. Leave for 10-15 minutes so it can rise again.
Top with veges and a little cheese and cook until topping is nicely browned.
