Ingredients

    Mustard Greens, 450 grams
Long Grain Brown Rice, 2 cup
Extra Virgin Olive Oil, 1 tbsp
    Salt, 1 tsp
Onions, raw, 1 medium (2-1/2" dia)
    Bay Leaves, whole, 3

    Crushed red pepper, 1/2 tsp

Directions

Bring 5 cups of water to a boil. Add salt, chopped onions, oil, herbs and rice and stir. Cover. Lower heat and simmer for 30 minutes, until the rice is almost tender and most of the water is absorbed. Remove the bay leaves, add the chopped mustard greens(don't stir yet) and cover. Incredible!
I make this all the time and love it! I sometimes use cous cous or orzo instead of rice and kale instead of greens. Try it with garlic, too! - 1/9/13

    Very Good
I've been trying to expand my vegetable horizons, so I made this recipe last night. The dish was great, but I don't think mustard greens are for me. The flavor is a little too pungent. For people who like a food that really explodes on your taste buds, this might be the recipe for you! - 11/18/08
