Ingredients

1 1/4 lbs lean ground turkey
2 egg whites
1/2 cup dry breadcrumbs
1/4 cup water
1/2 onion, chopped
2 cloves garlic, minced
1/4 cup fresh parlsey, minced
2 tsp dried basil
1 tsp ground black pepper
3 cups low fat marinara pasta sauce
12 oz uncooked spaghetti pasta
1/4 cup reduced fat Parmesan cheese
Directions
Makes 6 servings
1. Preheat oven broiler.
2. In a large mixing bowl, combine turkey, egg whites, breadcrumbs, water, onion, garlic, parsley, basil and black pepper. Mix ingredients thoroughly and then shape into 1 1/2 inch diameter meatballs (a tbsp sized scoop comes in handy for getting uniform meatballs).
3. Arrange meatballs on a baking sheet and place under broiler for 10 minutes, turning once or twice to brown on all sides.
4. In a large saucepan, combine pasta sauce and cooked meatballs. Simmer over low heat for 20 minutes.
5. While pasta sauce is simmering, prepare spaghetti according to package directions.
6. Place a portion of spaghetti on each plate, cover with a portion of meatballs (divide total meatballs by 6 to figure this), 1/2 cup sauce, and top with 2 tsp of Parmesan cheese.
