Ingredients

a 6&1/2 inch whole wheat pita
2 Tbsp marinara sauce
100 grams cooked boneless skinless chicken breast, sliced
1 mushroom, sliced
1/4 cup reduced fat or fat-free shredded mozzarella cheese
1 red pepper ring
1 tsp minced shallots
1 tsp grated Parmesan cheese
sprinkling of Italian seasoning (sodium free)
Directions
Pre-heat oven to 350F
Place the pita shell on a backing sheet. Spread marinara on pita. Top with chopped cooked chicken and sliced mushroom. sprinkle with mozzarella. Add the red pepper ring and sprinkle with shallots and Parmesan and Italian seasoning.
Bake in oven until cheese is melted and edges of pita start to brown. Cut into wedges and serve. Makes 1 serving. Recipe is very easy to make for multiple people and variations in the veggies are easy to do.
