Ingredients
-
Chicken breast with no skin or bone ( you can actually use any type of chicken but I like skinless, boneless), 48 ounces
Garlic, 10 cloves or more either diced or slivered thin
Red wine vinegar, 16 tbsp or 1 cup
water 1 cup ( but will vary as it cooks down
Onions, raw, 2 cups,sliced thin
olive oil, 1 tbsp
Black pepper Use to your taste.( I like around 2 tablespoons)
Salt, use to your taste. ( I use sea salt and around 1 tsp)
Directions
Put oil oil in pan and add chicken. Cook until the chicken gets a good brown coating to it.
Add the garlic and onions and saute for a little bit til they soften a little bit.
Add the vinegar and the water, then season with the pepper and salt.
Cover and simmer until chicken is cooked thru. I love to cook the vinegar and water down so it can be added over the chicken with the onions and garlic.
The servings are figured for 3 ounces of the chicken with the onion and garlic sauce on top.
This recipe will give you around 16-3oz servings when cooked.
Add more vinegar for a bolder taste. I do it all the time and the kids love it. I even have friends that have tried this and say wow that's good.
