Ingredients

    1/2 cup soma (also known as varai, varicha, baghar)
    1/4 cup butter
    1 cup whole milk
    1/2 cup jaggery, grated or powdered
    1/2 cup water

Directions

Melt butter in a non-stick pan. Add soma and roast for about 5 minutes. Then add milk and water. Turn to low heat, cover and allow the soma to absorb the liquid. Then add jaggery and mix a few times. Turn off heat and cover. Allow to sit for about 5 minutes. Stir once again, jaggery should get completely. Serve warm. Makes 5 servings.
