Introduction
Bariatric and Atkins Friendly Pizza Crust Bariatric and Atkins Friendly Pizza CrustNumber of Servings: 6
Ingredients
-
1 1/4 cup of soy flour
1/2 cup of unflavored whey isolate protein powder
1/2 tsp. of xantham gum
1 teaspoon of garlic paste or crushed and diced garlic
1 1/2 teaspoon of basil
1/4 tsp. black pepper
1 tsp. salt
2 tsp. Splenda
2 extra large eggs
3 tablespoons olive oil
1/4 cup of water
Directions
Preheat oven to 375.
Mix all dry ingredients together, add spices, eggs, oil and water. Combine all ingredients well. Even with the xanthum gum, this gluten free recipe will be sticky upon rolling out the dough. Recommend laying down a piece of parchment paper and making crust very, very thin.
This crust has a very hearty taste. Once crust is rolled out, pre-bake for 10-14 minutes until crust is light brown. Remove from the oven and complete the pizza by applying your toppings and return your pizza to the oven to finish baking.
