Introduction

Ingredients

Dry:
3 cups whole wheat unbleached white flour
4 tbsp sugar
4 tsp splenda
2 tsp baking powder
1 tsp baking soda
4 tbsp chocolate chips of your choice
1/2 cup sliced or slivered almonds
Wet:
1/2 cup egg substitute
2 very ripe bananas mashed
4 tbsp honey
1/4 cup skim milk
1/2 cup unsweetened applesauce
(i used motts strawberry applesauce for a dif flavor)
1 tbsp melted butter
1 tsp vanilla extract
dash of cinnamon
Directions
Combine the dry ingredients, stirring well.
In a separate bowl mash the bananas thoroughly, then stir in the remainder of the wet ingredients.
Pour the wet ingredients into the dry, stirring only enough to incorporate all the dry, do not over-stir, bread will be tough.
Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
Bake bread 50-60 minutes or until toothpick comes out clean. Muffins for 25-35 minutes, or until toothpick comes out clean. Makes two 9-12 piece loaves, or 18 large - 24 medium muffins.
