Number of Servings: 24

Ingredients

    1 cup All-Bran
    1 1/2 cup flour (1 cup whole wheat, 1/2 cup white)
    dash salt
    1/4 tsp cinnamon (i put more)
    1/4 cup margarine or butter
    3 tbsp water (or even juice)
    1/2 cup prune and fig jam
    1 tbsp powdered sugar

Directions

In a medium mixing bowl, combine the All-Bran, flour, sugar, salt and cinnamon. Using a pastry blender, cut in the margarine or butter, mixture will ressemble coarse crumbs. Stir in the water or juice, mixture will be crumbly.
Remove 1 cup of the mixture and set aside for the topping.
With the back of a spoon, press remaining mixture into a 9 x 9 baking pan coated with cooking spray.
Spread the prune and fig jam (or what you have), sprinkle with the reserved topping.
Bake at 350 for about 25 minutes or until lightly browned. Cool completely, dust with powdered sugar before serving.
Makes 24 bars.
