Ingredients

    1 tbsp oil
    1 lb ground beef
    1 c finely chopped onion

    1/4 c ketchup
    1/4 tsp pepper
    3/4 c condensed cream of mushroom soup
    1 c white flour
    1 c whole wheat flour
    3/4 c corn meal
    2 tbsp baking powder
    1/2 tsp salt
    1 1/2 tbsp curry powder

    1/3 c shortening

    3/4 c milk

    Sauce:
    1 - 10 oz can condensed cream of mushroom soup (plus remainder of previous can).
    1/2 c water
    1 1/2 tbsp curry powder (to taste)

Directions

Heat oil in frying pan (or use spray if preferred to cut more calories) Add beef and onion, brown. Remove from heat add ketchup, pepper and soup. Cool.

Mix dry ingredients. Add shortening, mix until crumbly. Add milk (may need a little more). Knead into a stiff dough.

Roll dough to a 12 x 12 inch square. Put filling on top. Roll jelly roll fashion. Seal edge with water. Cut into 8-10 pieces. Place cut side up on a parchment paper lined baking dish (or grease/spray the pan).

Bake at 400F for 20-25 minutes.

While baking mix the sauce ingredients and heat. Make sauce as thick as you want.
