Introduction

Ingredients

4 large Granny Smith apples (about 4 cups)
juice of 1 lemon
1 tbsp flour
1/4 cup sugar
1tsp cinnamon
For topping:
3 tbsp brown sugar
1/2 cup Quaker (or other) oats
2 Tbsp butter
Directions
Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Spray 8x8 baking dish or equivalent with cooking spray.
Peel and core the apples, and cut into chunks
As you are doing this, squeeze the lemon onto the apples to keep them from browning; toss as you add more apples.
Add flour, sugar and cinnamon to apples and mix well.
To make the topping:
Mix the brown sugar and oats in a small bowl, then pinch in the butter with your fingers until it is combined. Sprinkle over the apples.
Bake in prepared baking dish for about an hour; check after 45 minutes.
Serves 4.
Great with vanilla ice cream or frozen yogurt!
