    1.5 c white sugar
    1/2 to 3/4 c. mazola oil
    2 eggs unbeaten
    2 c. buttermilk
    2 c. all purpose flour
    1/2 tsp slt
    2.5 tsp baking soda
    3 c. baking bran
    1 c. washed raisins
    1 c. boiling water


In a medium bowl, put 1 cup bran and the raisins, our over 1 cup boiling water, let stand until cool, stirring occasionally. In a large bowl cream sugar, oil and unbeated eggs, beat well. Add soda to buttermilk, blend in the oil and sugar mixture, then the flour, wet bran and raisin mixture, remaining 2 cups of bran. Bake at 350 for 20 min.
Makes 36 medium muffins.
