Add stock cube and spices to water, bring to boil. Add TVP. Remove from heat, stir well, and allow to cool enough to mix with eggs , about 15 mins. Beat egg and add to TVP mixture along with bread crumbs.
Let mixture sit for 5 mins. Form patties (extra may be frozen). Fry up (about 3 minutes per side, till nicely browned) and enjoy! Patties will be soft, so turn gently.

These were excellent! I added red pepper flakes because it's not sausage flavor to me without red pepper flakes. Also, I didn't add oil to them because I thought the oil was for frying them (the recipe didn't mention mixing it in)...but these patties definitely needed oil mixed in. Still tasty! - 2/9/13

WOW!!!! this is my first time trying TVP. Have wanted more vegetarian in my life, have to be gluten free(no wheat products) couldn't eat the veg burgers in the grocery. Made this with Gluten Free bread crumbs (food processed dried gluten free bread from the grocery) and gluten free broth! Delicious! - 1/9/13
