Kale sauteed with chilis, garlic & oil, for my logging purposes Kale sauteed with chilis, garlic & oil, for my logging purposes
Number of Servings: 4


    1 T olive oil
    1 T mustard oil
    1 dry red chili pepper
    3 cloves garlic, smashed
    1 serrano pepper, halved
    2 lbs kale or spinach, sliced into 1" strips
    1 c chicken broth (or water - not listed)
    salt as needed (not listed)


Heat oil in large pan, add chili, stir, then add garlic & fry until lightly browned, then add serrano, stir. Add kale, a handful at a time, and stir well. Add chicken broth (or water) & boil. Simmer 20-30 minutes or until greens are cooked. Boil off any remaining liquid & add salt as desired.
Makes 4 servings
