Ingredients

    1 lb. Lean ground turkey
    1/2 c. Textured Vegetable Protein
    1 package Taco Seasoning Mix - Low Sodium
    1 1/4 c. water
    1/2 tsp. ground cumin
    1 tsp. chili powder
    1 Tbsp. onion powder
    1 1/2 tsp. garlic powder
    red pepper seeds (optional to taste)
    2.5 c. shredded or chopped lettuce (per person)
    1/4 c. Mexican style 4 cheese blend shredded (per person)
    2 Tbsp. Jar Head Salsa (per person)

Directions

Makes 8 1/2 cup servings of Turkey TVP Taco Topping.
Cook ground turkey. Add spices. Stir in Textured Vegetable Protein, Taco Seasoning and water. Bring to a boil. Lower heat and simmer 15 minutes. Taste, add more seasoning if needed. Stir often to prevent sticking. Remove from heat.
Place chopped or shredded lettuce on a plate. Top with 1/2 cup of Turkey TVP Taco mixture. Add 1/4 cup shredded Mexican Cheese. Top with 2 Tbsp. Jar Head Salsa.
Serve and enjoy!
