Ingredients

2 cups flour
1 tblspn sugar
1/2 tspn salt
4 tspns baking powder
1/2 cup shortening
2/3 cup 2% milk
Directions
preheat oven to 425
mix the dry ingredients together then cut in the shortening until it is well mixed and resembles little hard granules
pour in the milk all at once and stir only until it forms a ball around the fork.
remove the ball of dough from the bowl onto a lightly floured cutting board and knead it 14 times. make it into a flat piece of dough about 1/2 inch thick and use a 2" cookie cutter to cut out biscuits. place them in 2 greased 8" cake pans so the sides are all touching - should make about 16 biscuits - - - -
bake in the 425 degree oven for about 15 to 20 minutes and serve them immediately with some olivo!
