Introduction

My own recipe for habichuelas rojas guisadas, stewed red beans (well, pinto in this case). My own recipe for habichuelas rojas guisadas, stewed red beans (well, pinto in this case).
Number of Servings: 6

Ingredients

    1 can Goya Pinto Beans, drained and rinsed clean
    2 tbsp Goya Recaito Cooking Base
    1 packet Goya Sazón with Azafrán
    2 tsp Goya Adobo with Pepper
    2 tsp dried oregano
    1 tsp salt
    2 tbsp Canola oil
    1/4 cup tomato sauce
    2 tsp minced garlic
    1 cup water

Directions

Place recaito, Sazón, adobo powder, oregano, salt, oil, garlic, and tomato sauce and heat till simmer.

Mash pinto beans onto sauce and mix. Bring to simmer.

Add water and boil for 20-30 minutes, till water is reduced by almost half.

Enjoy.
