Introduction

An old recipe passed down. Will work to make it a bit lower fat. An old recipe passed down. Will work to make it a bit lower fat.

Ingredients

    1/2 Cup Shortening
    1 1/2 Cup sugar
    2 eggs beaten
    1 tsp. vanilla
    1/2 Cup sour milk (add 1 Tablspn vinegar) or buttermilk
    2 Cup flour
    1/4 tsp. salt
    1 tsp. baking soda
    1 tsp. cinnamon
    1 tsp. nutmeg
    1 Cup ripe mashed

Directions

Cream shortening and sugar, add eggs one at a time and vanilla. Beat 2 min. until fluffy. Add banana pulp and sifted dry ingredients atlernating with milk. Bake at 350 degrees for 35-40 minutes in muffin tin.
