Ingredients
-
.66 cups Splenda (or other no-calorie sweetner)
.5 cups water
1.5 tsp cornstarch
.5 cups canola oil
.5 cups cider vinegar
.5 cups catsup
1 tsp prepared mustard
.25 tsp. garlic powder
.25 tsp black pepper
.5 tsp celery seed (optional)
Directions
Blend the water with the corn starch until smooth, in small sauce pan. Bring to boil and stir until thickened. Remove from heat and let cool.*
Then add all ingredients, including the thickened water into a food processor and process until smooth and evenly mixed. Chill and enjoy.
* You can make 'thick water" to use as a substitute for most recipes that call for oil. It is especially good to use to saute vegetables, for example, without adding any fat. I usually make it up in 1 cup batches to have it on hand.
Serving Size: makes about 16 2-tbsp servings
