Ingredients

1 lb ground chicken or turkey
    2 tsp garlic
    2 tsp ginger
    4 tbls soy sauce
    1 1/2-2 c. cooked rice
16 romaine or bibb lettuce leaves
    1 c. green onions
1 c. green or red pepper
    1 c. bean sprouts
    1 c. zucchini

    Dipping Sauce:
    1/3 c. soy sauce
    1/3 c. water
    1 tbls lemon juice
    3 tsp minced garlic
3 tsp ginger ( a little more if taste isn't strong enough)
    1 tsp. sugar

Directions

Cook ground meat with green onions. Once meat is almost done add in the rest of the veggies, soy sauce, garlic, and ginger . When meat is completely done add rice and stir until well mixed.

Add all the ingredients for sauce and put in small saucers so everyone gets one.

Then just wrap meat mixture in lettuce leaves and dip in the sauce. Can be messy but soooo yummy. Nutrition info is with ground chicken, even healthier with ground turkey.

This is AWESOME! I replace the sprouts and zucchini with Mushrooms just to fit family preferences, and we usually don't use the dipping sauce...they are pretty flavorful without the extra sauce. This has definitely become a family favorite! I get requests for it almost every week! - 10/13/08

This is amazing! My whole family loved it and it tastes just like the one's I used to get in Toronto at Spring Roll restaurant! :) I didn't make the sauce, but I used some lower sodium honey garlic sauce instead of the soy sauce. makes it a bit healthier :) Oh and no rice... - 4/30/10

I'm going to try these tonight for dinner - can't wait!

OK - it is now a few hours later and I LOVE this recipe! I used low sodium soy sauce and added some celery but other than that, followed the recipe. I will be passing this recipe on to friends and family!

We loved this. I also substituted brown rice and used the low salt soy sauce. It still had plenty of flavor. I also ate my leftovers with tortillas. It wasn't as messy as the lettuce. I will make it again. - 7/30/08
