Ingredients

Shrimp, raw, 36 medium (about 1 lb.)
Rice, enriched long grain, uncooked, 1 cup
Water, 1.75cups
Olive Oil, Extra Virgin, 1 tbs
Peppers, sweet, red, fresh, 1 cup, chopped
Peas, frozen, 1 cup
Onions, raw, .5 cup, chopped
Stonehouse #7 - Tamarind and Garlic Gourmet Indian Cooking Sause, 16 oz (one Jar)
Directions
- In a sauce pot with a tight lid, sauteed onions and peppers in oil until almost soft then add rice. Coat rice in oil/veggie mix. Add 1.75 cups water and bring to boil. Reduce to simmer (lowest setting), cover tightly and steam for 20mins. (add salt to taste)
- Combine Stonehouse sauce and raw shrimp in a wide saute pan, mix to coat. Bring to a boil and then reduce to medium low. Cook for 8-12 minutes.
- serve shrimp over rice.
