Number of Servings: 10

Ingredients

2 medium apples, cored, peeled and cut into quarters
    16 oz strawberries, tops removed
1/2 cup slivered and toasted almonds
1 8oz package of 1/3 Less Fat Philadelphia Cream Cheese

Directions

Pull the cream cheese out and set it on the counter so it can soften while you prep the fruit.

Prepare all fruit as described in the ingredients list.

Purée strawberries in the blender first then add apple one quarter at a time. Add in the softened cream cheese and blend until completely mixed together. Finally add in the toasted almonds until completely puréed.

This mixture is enough to fill two trays.

Place the fruit roll sheets on the dehydrator trays and wipe them lightly with vegetable oil to prevent sticking. (I like to use coconut oil.) Pour mixture from blender onto fruit rollup sheet. Purée should be about 1/4" to 3/8" think and evenly spread. Dry at 130F-140F until fruit feels leather-like and is pliable, about 4 to 8 hours.

I use the Nesco FD-75PR 700-Watt Food Dehydrator.

Remove the fruit rolls while it is still warm, roll, cut into smaller size pieces and wrap in plastic wrap. Individually wrapped pieces of fruit should be stored in larger airtight and moisture proof containers.
