Introduction
This is my favorite lasagna. My mom gave me the recipe ages ago, and I've lost the written copy. This is what I do from memory now. I just needed to find out how many crazy calories are in the thing! Ingredients

1 lb lean ground beef
1 lb sweet italian ground sausage
32 oz spaghetti sauce (any kind)
2 c low fat cottage cheese
1/2 c grated parmesan cheese
3 c shredded mozzarella cheese
2 large eggs
salt and pepper to taste
1 c shredded mozzarella cheese (for topping - optional)
Directions
Sauce: Brown ground beef and sausage together. Drain any grease. Take off heat and add spaghetti sauce.
Cheese Mixture: In a separate large bowl, thoroughly mix cottage cheese, parmesan cheese, 3 cups mozzarella, eggs, and salt & pepper to taste.
Pre-heat oven to 350 degrees.
In a 9"x13" baking dish, layer the Sauce, Cheese Mixture, and Noodles as follows:
Bottom layer: 1/4 Sauce
Next: 3 Noodles
Next: 1/4 Sauce
Next: 1/2 Cheese Mixture
Next: 3 Noodles
Next 1/4 Sauce
Next 1/2 Cheese Mixture
Next: 3 Noodles
Top Layer: 1/4 Sauce
Cover pan with foil and bake 1 hour.
Remove foil and add 1 cup mozzarella cheese for topping, if desired. Bake an additional 10 minutes (or longer, if you want it to brown).
Let stand for 10 minutes before serving.
Serving suggestions: add garlic bread and salad, of course! :)
