Such a versitile recipe! Makes it's own gravy! Can also be prepared in the oven or a croc pot to save time and it's just as delicious! Serve over hot cooked noodles or mashed potatoes! Ingredients

16 oz. round steak
1 tbs oil
1 c. sliced fresh mushrooms
1 med onion, sliced
2 cloves garlic minced
2 tbs vinegar
1/2 tsp. dried basil or marjoram
1/4 tsp pepper
2 c. water
1-2 tsp gravy master browning sauce
4 tbs. all purpose flour
2 tbs. snipped parsley (optional) for garnish
Directions
Trim fat from steak and cut into 4 portions.
Mix flour, basil and pepper
Dredge steak in flour to coat both sides of meat
Heat oil in nonstick skillet and brown meat till browned on both sides. (adding more oil if necessary but don't forget to add to nutritional count if used.)
Mix browning sauce and vinegar with water.
Add garlic, onion, mushrooms and water / sauce mixture.
Bring to boil, turn down heat then cover and simmer for 1 to 1/4 hours, or till meat is tender. Stirring several times and add water as neccesary to prevent sticking.
*Can be done in the oven or croc pot after meat is browned to save time.
Makes 4 servings
