Introduction

This is one of the recipes I am using in my quick start "juice" fast... I got the idea from the documentary, "Fat, Sick and Nearly Dead". I'll be consuming 5 to 6 "juices" along with 8 glasses of water a day for the next 5 or so days. It's made using a Juice Extractor and a Smoothie Machine. This recipe is good for ANY time, not just for juice fasting, and it's a great way to add fruit and veggies to your diet. :) This is one of the recipes I am using in my quick start "juice" fast... Ingredients

    3 Valencia oranges
    1 small delicious apple
    1 cup of fresh pineapple
    3 medium sized carrots
    1 medium banana
half a cup of canned unsweetened light coconut milk
    about 10 ice cubes

Directions

Wash everything under running water.

Peel oranges (you CAN juice the oranges with the peel, but it will make the juice bitter... I leave a little peel)

Put the banana aside and cut the rest of your fruit and veggies into pieces your juicer can handle(if necessary), and juice in your extractor according to your machines instructions.

In your smoothie maker, peel and add the banana and coconut milk, some of the pulp from your extractor(I put back about a half a cup) and the extracted juice, along with half the ice cubes. Blend for 30 seconds, and continue while adding the rest of the ice.

Pour into tall glasses and enjoy!

There should be enough for 2 meal servings, or 3 snack servings... if you want to stretch it, add more ice. Yummy :)
