Introduction

Ingredients

    1 pound lean ground turkey (or lean ground beef)
    1 15-ounce can of Sloppy Joe sauce (like Hunt's Manwich or a store brand, found near the canned tuna)
    1 15-ounce can pork and beans (any kind of baked beans would add a flavorful note to the sloppy joe sauce)
    shredded or sliced cheese of choice
    1 8-count package of whole wheat burger buns or whole grain thin sandwich buns

Directions

1. Brown ground turkey in frying pan. Drain. Return to pan.
2. Add can of sloppy joe sauce and can of beans. Stir well.
3. Heat through and let simmer over med-low for 5-10 minutes.
4. Serve on whole grain buns, bread or over whole-grain pasta or brown rice. Can also roll in tortillas or just eat with a fork.
5. Garnish with cheese. Enjoy!
