Introduction
The breadcrumb only YOU will know is made of oatmeal! The breadcrumb only YOU will know is made of oatmeal!Number of Servings: 1
Ingredients
-
1/2 cup Quaker Oats Old Fashioned Oatmeal (uncooked)
Italian Seasoning to taste
Garlic Powder to taste
2 tbs Paprika
Black pepper to taste
Pinch of Sea Salt
Water or Skim Milk
Can't Believe it's Not Butter Spray
Directions
-Set oven to 350
-Cut your chicken breasts, or pork chops or anything you wanted breaded and put aside.
- With a blender, put in the Oatmeal, dry and turn into a powder. [I generally make huge batches of the powder and season as I use it. ]
- Then once you have your powder, set aside enough for whatever it is you're breading. [I always bread 5 oz of meat for dinner and 5 oz for lunch next day at one time]
-Add italian seasoning, garlic powder, paprika, black pepper, sea salt and mix with your hand or a fork
-Dip your chicken or pork into water or skim milk and roll in your 'breading' mixture [or do it like shake and bake]
-Spray a pan for the oven with I Can't Believe it's Not Butter spray (or cooking spray if you don't have this)
-Spray your chicken breasts or pork on both sides lightly but enough to make the oatmeal look darker
-Place in pan and bake in the oven for 20 minutes and flip meat
-Continue baking for another 10-15 minutes (depending on meat thickness)
You now have "breaded" baked chicken and it looks browned like regular breading because of the paprika!
You can also do everything above, on a frying pan too if you want a different type of flavor.
Serving Size: Covers two 5oz pieces of meat
Number of Servings: 1
