Introduction

Ingredients

    1- 28 oz can crushed tomatoes
    1-14 oz can diced tomatoes
    1 -14 oz can diced tomatoes (no salt)
    4 cups reduced sodium tomato juice
    14 oz. Chicken broth (no MSG, reduced sodium, no fat)
    4 cloves garlic. chopped
    20 basil leaves chopped
    3 tbs. butter

Directions

mix tomatoes, juice and broth together in a large pot. Add chopped garlic and about a Tbs of the basil, and butter. Add salt and pepper. Bring to a simmer and cook for 30 min. Add remaining basil and blend in blender in small batches, or with a hand blender until mostly smooth. Enjoy.

Things to add. you can add a little sugar if you like it sweeter, or Tobasco if you like it hotter, cream or milk if you want creamier. Add rice, quinoa, or farro for another change.
