Ingredients

    1 Medium cucumber
    1/2 c cider vinegar
    1 c Water
8 oz. pkg Light cream cheese, softened
    1/4 c Mayonnaise
    1/4 tsp Garlic powder
    1/4 tsp Onion salt
    Worcestershire Sauce
    1 loaf of firm-textured bread

Garnish options: Top off with a sprinkle of paprika or a sprig of parsley or a tiny dollop of the cream cheese/mayo mixture and top with a baby shrimp or a very thin slice of a olive with piemento in it.

Directions

Toss the sliced cucumber with vinegar and salt and let them sit in a strainer at room temperature for around thirty minutes. Rinse with fresh water if they're too salty and pat dry with paper towels to get rid of any excess water.

Cut bread with a knife or a cookie cutter before you fill them.

Combine cream cheese, mayo, garlic powder, onion salt and Worcestershire. Spread bread with cream cheese mixture. Top each with several slices of cucumber and another slice of bread.

Shortly before serving, sprinkle with paprika or top with a little dab of cream cheese/mayo and top with a baby shrimp or a thin slice of olive with piemento.

Can be made ahead and refrigerated over night. Arrange the sandwiches on a cookie sheet, cover with lightly damp paper towels and then cover the whole sheet with aluminum foil. Makes about 48 tea sandwiches.
