Introduction

A good basic turkey chili which you can tone down or up by adjusting the amount of cayenne pepper. Great served with pinto beans. A good basic turkey chili which you can tone down or up by adjusting the amount of cayenne pepper. Great served with pinto beans.

Ingredients

    1 lb ground turkey 93% lean
    1 cup chopped onions
    2 cloves garlic chopped
    1 cup chopped bell pepper
    2 tbsp chili powder
    1/2 tsp cumin seed
    1 tsp oregano
    1/2 tsp ground black pepper
    1/2 tsp ground cayenne pepper
    1 28 oz canned diced tomatoes

Directions

Crumble ground turkey into large deep skillet over medium-high heat, add onion, garlic, and bell pepper. Cook until onion and bell pepper are softened and turkey is no longer pink. Drain excess liquid from skillet then add spices, stir and cook 1 minute. Add tomatoes including juice and bring to a boil, reduce heat and simmer on low 10-15 minutes, stirring occasionally.
