Ingredients

    1 cup steel-cut or Irish oatmeal (not quick-cooking)
    3 1/2 cups of water
    1/2 cup of half and half
    Pinch salt
    Sweeteners and spices to taste

Directions

Add all ingredients to the slow cooker. Cook on low for 7-8 hours (overnight). Stir before serving. Add toppings as desired.
