    1lb Beef Liver
    1-Large Onion sliced
    1/4 cup white vinegar
    1/4 white flour
    3Tbl Canola Oil
    Salt & Pepper
    1/2 cup water


Cut liver into serving size pieces. Dredge liver slices through flour, salt & pepper each piece. Brown in non-stick pan with 3 TBL Canola Oil - 1 and half minutes per side. Remove Liver set aside. Add sliced onions to pan and brown until carmelized. Add liver back to pan. Add water, vinegar. Cook at low simmer for about 15 - 20 minutes until gravy is thick. Add browning sauce if you prefer a darker gravy.

  • This turned out great! I added bacon to the recipe. Fried the bacon first, then the onions in the bacon fat, then added the floured liver and followed the recipe from there. Yes, the bacon added calories but; I'd rather have a smaller, tastier portion. Yum.. - 2/28/16
