Ingredients

    1/4 cup hot water
    1 cup all-purpose flour
    1/2 teaspoon baking soda
    1/2 teaspoon salt
    1 cup quick cooking oats
    1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
    1/2 teaspoon ground nutmeg
    1/2 cup packed brown sugar
    1 eggs
    1/4 cup and 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
    1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract

Directions

Directions
1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C).
2. In large bowl, sift flour with soda, salt and spices. Blend in rolled oats, sugar and nuts. In a separate bowl, beat eggs with fork and add oil, vanilla, and water. Pour into dry ingredients, stirring until well mixed. Drop by teaspoonfuls about two inches apart onto ungreased cookie sheets.
3. Bake 10 to 13 minutes in the preheated oven, until the edges are golden.
